I'm not out to compete with or against anybody. If I can fix somebody's
amp at a reasonable price I'm content. For some reason I like the Phase Linear product line and want to see this gear stay
around for a long time.
There seem to be a hand full of people out there working on these amps in addition to the shops that will take anything that
comes through the door. I haven't met most of them and don't know what they're competence level is. I've seen enough butchered
gear to know there are plenty of people who should never look inside an amplifier, much less work on them.
I do this for toy money. I charge enough money to keep me interested and probably charge a lot less than most full time shops.
If my prices are higher or lower than other people, so be it. When I work on a piece of gear I'm putting over thirty years
of electronics experience to work. I think you're getting a pretty good value for your money.
